MiniLit Sage
It is a Tier 2 small group reading program for students in the bottom 25% of the expected range for their age group in Year 1 and 2. The program provides explicit instruction in phonemic awareness, systematic synthetic phonics for reading and spelling, letter formation, and connected text reading.
MiniLit Sage represents the latest scientific research and evidence base on effective reading instruction and intervention. The program has also been revised to align with the scope and sequence of InitiaLit – MultiLit’s whole-class initial literacy instruction program for Foundation to Year 2.
MacqLit
MacqLit is a Tier 2 explicit and systematic reading intervention program for small groups of older low-progress readers. It provides teachers with a comprehensive sequence of lessons that includes all the key components necessary for effective reading instruction: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Ideal for students who fall in the bottom 25% of a standardised reading test or curriculum-based measure, and who have particular difficulties in the area of word recognition. Specifically aimed at struggling readers in Year 3 through to high school.
Toe By Toe
Toe By Toe is a small red book designed for anyone who finds reading difficult. This includes weak readers who struggle to decode or those with dyslexic difficulties. Keda Cowling, one of the chose the name Toe By Toe to signify that students make progress by the tiniest steps – one toe at a time. However, even though the steps taken are small, students can clearly measure progress right from the first page. Confidence and self-esteem are boosted as a result.
Bond Blocks
Bond Blocks is a Tier 2 Maths Intervention Program aimed at students in Years 2 and 3 and conducted in small groups or with pairs of students to build up foundational skills.
The Bond Block System aims to develop:
* Fluency with number bonds, leading to recall.
* Addition and subtraction to 20 and beyond.
* Robust understandings of addition and subtraction concepts, and relationships between them.
* Flexible, efficient calculating strategies.
* Number concepts including place value.
* Mathematical reasoning and problem solving.
